CPR Anytime Class Offered to Local 8th Graders

July 10, 2009

The Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation recently presented 60 CPR Anytime kits to Eighth grade students at 8th Street Middle School and Tiftarea Academy. The CPR Anytime kits include a CPR Mannequin and an informational CPR DVD. The Tift County EMS instructed the class on CPR lifesaving skills, and demonstrated the appropriate way to perform CPR. The students then performed CPR on their own mannequin and were challenged to go home and teach their parents, grandparents and siblings. The funds from this project were raised from the TRMC Foundation’s “Hearts and Diamonds” Gala held on February 7. The event raised $52,000 for the Foundation’s Heart Safe Community Program.
