Stepping Out for Your Heart

The 3rd annual “Stepping Out for Your Heart” was held on October 17 at the Northeast Campus of Tift County High School. With 348 registered participants, we were able to raise over $30,000 for the Tift Community. These funds will go towards the Foundation’s “Heart Safe Community” where Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s), CPR training and 12 Lead EKG machines are bought for Tift and surrounding counties. Also, these funds will be used for Cardiac Rehab patients at TRMC. In some cases, patients’ insurance will not cover the highest level of cardiac rehab and he or she has to settle with a less effective rehabilitation. Through the funds from Stepping Out for Your Heart patients that can not afford cardiac rehab will receive the financial aid they need.
