| From 1982 until May of 2001, the Tift Regional
Medical Center 30-Minute Club generated over $500,000 in employee
contributions. These funds were used over the years by the Foundation
to purchase medical equipment for the hospital, assist with employee
scholarships, develop new patient services and to help with hospital
construction projects. A plaque on the Tree of Advancement in the
front lobby of TRMC recognizes the significant contributions made
by these employees.
A new version of the 30-minute club started in January of 2002
- Check it out!
30 minutes of a TRMC employee will be payroll deducted as
a contribution to Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation.
For 2005, employees can choose from one of the following
areas for your contributions to fund: Cardiac Rehab, Diabetes
Education, Mammography, Ortho and Tift Community Health Center.
In 2004, 512 TRMC employees participated in the 30 minute club
and donated more than $70,000 back to TRMC.
At the end of the year, managers of the selected areas and
their vice-presidents will develop the service or select equipment
for their area based on the amount of money received. All 30 Minute
Club Members will be invited to a reception to see the purchases
made with their contributions.
New areas to receive funding will be chosen each year
you
will be able to select a new area to benefit from your contributions.
Beginning in 2002, for each $500 contributed by an employee, an
inscribed name plate will be placed on the "Friends" plaque
in the Foundation alcove in the front lobby of TRMC. If an individual
contributes $1,000 a leaf will be placed on the Tree of Advancement
located in the front lobby. For questions, please contact our
office at 229-391-3310 or via email at maranda.hancock@tiftregional.com.
